In late 205 AC, the [[Catalysts]] freed the exalted Queen of the [[Stone Throne]] from her demonic bindings. This did have consequences--having been a conduit for many sacrificed souls and having vastly outlived her normal lifespan, her physical frame and soul became unstable. If this continued, she would have suffered a cataclysmic spontaneous existence failure, probably destroying the entire city of [[Ar Salem Dolem]]. So instead, she decided to use the stored residual aether to ascend, becoming an [[Ascendant]] instead. Short version: she succeeded and is now the [[Queen Ascendant]].
