A low-intensity conflict between [[Wyrmhold]] and [[Byssia]] from 220 AC to 221 AC. Notable for being the last effort by the [[Adventurer's Guild]] before it turned away from adventuring (and being the catalyst for that decision). Adventurers fought on both sides until the Guild and its high-level leadership pulled strings and unified them to put an end to it.

Fought over expansion into the [[Nocthian Caldera]] and ownership of the relics left behind. [[Wyrmhold]] claims them by right of conquest over the [[Hungering Frost]] and the abandonment of them by the [[Nocthian]] civilization; [[Byssia]] claims them by right of inheritance from their ancestors, the [[Nocthian]]s. They also claim them as religious relics, sacred to [[Nocthis]], now reborn.

This conflict still goes on via proxy warfare--both sides arm, train, and advise the local [[jazuu]] and [[barbegazi]] tribes. There are plans (on both sides) to heat it up again now that the Guild is no longer so focused on peacekeeping, but neither side has made substantial moves. [[Wyrmhold]] is planning a new set of bastion forts to extend their controlled area much further toward Mt Nyx, while the Byssian plans, as usual, are quite murky and subtle.
