An attempt to assassinate Queen-Mother [[Beatris ka Shakti]] in 250 AC and pin the blame on the [[Breath of the Sun]] and the People's Faction. Orchestrated by cultists of the [[Jester]], but egged on and abetted by [[Gozh]], this plot involved dominating members of the [[Breath of the Sun]] and planting assassins in the People's Faction ranks during a speech by the Queen-Mother at the Little Dawnspire in [[Lyodnoir]]. Interestingly, the Queen-Mother knew (or strongly suspected) that there would be an attempt and set things up so that the People's Faction would be blamed when it succeeded, tying them to [[Byssia]] and trying to sacrifice herself to keep the War Party on top. This plot was foiled when [[Enigma]] caught on to parts of it during their time in the city. Their presence at the speech stopped the assassination and revealed the Queen-Mother's role in abetting it, leading to her relegation to a purely ceremonial role.
