The shape of the breath weapon is determined by the color of your dragon, as shown on the Dragon Types table. The area of the line or cone and the damage of the breath weapon increase as you gain levels in this class, as shown below. Once your dragon has used this ability, it can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
