They tried to steal the gate crystal but were partially foiled by the Ruin Raiders. the crystal was damaged in the fighting. Another group, led by Gwendyr sur Ayer (a kaelthian archmage) and backed by celestials, tried to assassinate the ~~catalysts~~. They successfully killed most of the ~~FNC bureaucracy~~, but the Ruin Raiders kept the ~~catalysts~~ alive.		At the same time, agents of the [[Prophet of Law Unveiled]] attacked in a premeditated assault. They tried to steal the gate crystal but were partially foiled by the [[Ruin Raiders]]. the crystal was damaged in the fighting. Another group, led by [[Gwendyr sur Ayer]] (a kaelthian archmage) and backed by celestials, tried to assassinate the [[Catalysts]] and the bureaucrats, ambassadors, and merchants hiding in the palace. They successfully killed most of the non-combatants, but the Ruin Raiders kept the Catalysts alive.

	Fort Hope is both the center of the [[Federated Nations]] (housing the [[Palace of Nations]] which serves as the headquarters and meeting area) and the home base of the [[Windwalker Legion]]. Since its founding in 206 AC (and the destruction of the undead occupying the fort itself), it has grown significantly and now serves as the only major city in the [[Windwalker Confederacy]] and a trading hub, as well as the home of the [[Adventurer's Academy]] and the [[Adventurer's Guild]].
