While the name is a bit of an anachronism at this point, the Kaelthian Merchant Collective (KMC) is a major force in the mercantile business in all of the [[Successor States]] and beyond. Founded in 208 AC by the Commerce Guild to handle trade with the rest of the newly-formed [[Federated Nations]], it grew tremendously in power when it was selected to handle the logistics for the liberation of [[Godsfall]] in 211 AC. After the [[Crystal Spire War]] and the reconfiguration of the [[Council Lands]], it grew and absorbed (or allied with) all of the major trading houses. Currently headquartered in [[Rauviz]], it is the single largest merchant house in the [[Federated Nations]] and a dominant player in the economy.
