Of the [[Orcs|orcish]] tribal groups in [[Wyrmhold]], Kard is the least traditional and most pragmatic and worldly. They make their homes dominantly in the southern region of [[Byarmarsh]], where they are heavily involved in the growing industrial movement there. Taking inspiration from the endless inventiveness of the [[goblins]] and the arcane bent of the local [[dragonborn]], they are technologists, engineers, and traders. For the decades of the war against the [[Hungering Frost]], they built weapons and manned engineering crews. Now they...still build weapons, but also look for new markets for engineered goods throughout the continent.

Politically, they're split between the [[Wyrmhold Politics|Byarmarsh Munitions Coalition of the War Party]] (most common among those who own and operate the weapons factories) and the [[Wyrmhold Politics|Trade Collective of the Peace Party]]. They are almost entirely irreligious, although those that do seek religion often seek out [[Lon-Ka]] as their patron. One common feature is that many of Kard despise [[Byssia]] and Byssians, especially for their anti-technological, "anti-progress" ways. They reject the druidic and shamanistic practices of [[Skem]], and consider [[Ko]] to be a bunch of savages. They do get along well with [[Tabar]], despite not being motivated by honor or the glory of combat. They prefer someone else (or something else) to do the dying, while they provide the weapons.
