The kindred are the remains of a demon-touched group of animal/human hybrids who were trapped inside [[Godsfall]] by the barrier after the [[Cataclysm]]. They lived in [[Abaddon]] in tribes, associated with their animal patrons. The expansion of [[Shelob]] and her minions in 210-211 AC wiped out all but one tribe, that of cat-shifters.

Since the liberation of Godsfall, they have slowly adapted to the changed environment. Still xenophobic and untrusting, they watch over the remains of [[Shelob]]'s brood in [[Acheron]], serving as overseers and prison wardens for the arachnids.
