== Basic information ==
Lamies [LAH-mees] was a ranking elemental prince of Air pre-[[Planar realignment]] who rose to leadership in the [[Plane of Cloud]] in the aftermath of the [[Cataclysm]]. He rose to power based on his subtle manipulations of those around him.

Lamies is most associated with dreams; other titles he is known by include

* Dream-lord
* Nightmare walker
* Lord of the Forgotten

His most common title "the Silent" comes from the fact that no one has (on record) heard him speak. Interactions with him happen by an odd empathic semi-telepathy. Mostly, people in his orbit tend to "just know" what he wants. Occasionally, he shows up in people's dreams and "speaks" there...although no one remembers what his voice sounds like.

Physically, he appears like a vaguely elven (although not any particular subtype) male of indeterminate age with blond hair and green hair.
