Located at the base of [[Last Resort Pass]], the only significant way out of the [[Nocthian Caldera]] to the eastern lands, Lyodnoir is a heavily-fortified city. Controlled by Clan [[Gal]], it is the bottleneck that connects the newly-settled lands in the [[Kairen Mountains]] and [[Nocthian Caldera]] to the fertile fields of [[Safehold]], the rich forests of [[Baile Duchas]], and the industrial might of [[Byarmarsh]]. As such, it has become a very rich city despite being low in population compared to the other national capitals.

; Wallward: This area is kept free of permanent buildings except for barracks. It is the primary collection point for caravans heading up the pass. In prior times, it was to be used as a mustering grounds for soldiers in a last-ditch effort to protect the city. The rock walls of the mountains are several thousand feet straight up at this point.
; Officer's District: A formerly high-class district for non-nobles. Has gone downhill recently.
