			Some claim that the Gate itself is an entity with thoughts and identity, albeit alien and incomprehensible to others. Others see it as an insensate force of anti-nature, entropy personified. Some claim that the matter it destroys is simply gone; others (especially [[Nidus]] claim that the Gate is ''deconstructing'' the matter, learning from it, absorbing whatever capabilities it possesed, and becoming more "intelligent" with everything it absorbs.
