			Late night on 13 Spring Dawning 254 AC, Councilor Spode was assassinated in a very flashy manner by the [[Ruin Raiders]], who made it loudly clear to the remaining members of the junta, plus the Chairman of [[Golden Banner]], Eli Jones, that further repression and oppression will provoke loud and messy retribution. The Holy Hands have been implicated in some of Spode’s villainy, leading to a crystallization of sentiment against the HKR. Spode has posthumously attracted all the unattributed malfeasance of the junta.
