Not technically part of [[Byssia]], the Company acts as the government, in conjunction with a mayor chosen from the settled folk. It's only current trade routes are with [[Byssia]] proper, so its independence is notional unless another route can be found. Currently Byssia has no interest in administering it, although that might change if the port is developed or becomes a threat to their interests.
Ships rarely stop here, although with [[Freeport]]'s growth it's attracting more attention as a layover en route to that destination.

A prison island at the edge of Byssian territory, located at the edge of the deep part of Gap-tooth Bay. Home to about 50 people plus the prison, which houses about a dozen criminals. Only those deemed "dangerous magical criminals" or political prisoners are sentenced there, where they work in the mines extracting pure magicite. The mines themselves are run by the Earthen Brotherhood, a small hermetic collection of primal/elemental practitioners.

Ships rarely stop here, although with Freeport's growth it's attracting more attention as a layover en route to that destination.
