As of the [[Red Death]] of 253 AC, the Legion has disbanded. Its losses against those that invaded [[Fort Hope]] were severe, and the rest were recalled by their parent tribes when the [[Windwalker Confederacy]] shattered.

Unique among goblinoid tribes, the Legion is a voluntary "meta-tribe" made up of hobgoblins and bugbears only (although they hire goblins from other tribes to act as support personnel). As part of the deals that allow free access and trade throughout the Windwalker Confederacy, each tribe sends one or more of its hobgoblins to Fort Hope to join the Legion.

The Legion (currently numbering about 2300 individuals) is responsible for maintaining the peace in the WC and patrolling the roads. They do very little else, although some of them serve as instructors or adjuncts at the Adventurer's Academy.
