The Wyrmhold clan most associated with the high-mountain areas at the edge of the Nocthian Caldera. The hardest hit by the Winter War with the Hungering Frost, they accepted both jazuu and barbegazi tribes that remained in the Caldera after the retreat of the Frost.
Politically, they are very focused on the Nocthian Caldera and were heavily involved with the Caldera Conflict and still are fighting proxy battles against Byssian forces by arming and training the unallied tribes of the central Caldera.
A relatively "flat" clan, there are only three noble ranks:
- Laird
- The acknowledged clan leader. Currently Lyosha Yermolayevich.
- Knazai
- The "princes", these lead groups of families and rule over territory. Currently they are Olya Lyena, Gaavril Aleksei, Bolat Stonehammer (of the Stonehammer jazuu) and Gulg of Steeplechase (the "prince" of the barbegazi tribes, although his power is minimal).
- Rytsari
- Heads of important dragonborn families. They are many. Usually a single Rytsar has 3-4 subordinate families, each with a group of common families under them.
