Ecclesiarch of the Breath of the Sun. A gold dragonborn, born Maxim ka'Gal, the son of a minor noble of that clan. Elderly, he fought as a young man in the last Winter War with the Hungering Frost. It was there that he met the founder of the Breath of the Sun, Cyrus of Kaelthia and was converted to Tor Elan's worship. He took the name Horus Manus when he was chosen as Ecclesiarch after Cyrus's death in the Caldera Conflict in late 220 AC, starting a tradition among the upper hierarchs of setting aside their birth names and stations when they rise in the hierarchy.

Unlike Cyrus, Horus is less of a firebrand evangelical and more of a cautious strategist. He remains at a distance from the rest of the Breath of the Sun, only appearing in public on high holy days and then in full armor. Known for his unshakeable faith and calm, penetrating wisdom. He is a voice of caution on the Supreme Command, knowing that any open attempts at seizing power would be suicide.

Demographic Information

Horus is an elderly (70s) gold dragonborn. His face and scales are covered in scars, and the fingers on his left hand are a bit misshapen from being broken so many times. When he's not wearing armor, he wears simple clothing. Known for fighting with hammer and shield, his real preferred weapons are the scouting report and the planning table. Mechanically, he's a War Priest, although he wields his warhammer Sunstroke and wears a shield.
