Kindred

The kindred are the remains of a demon-touched group of animal/human hybrids who were trapped inside Godsfall by the barrier after the Cataclysm. They lived in Abaddon in tribes, associated with their animal patrons. The expansion of Shelob and her minions in 210-211 AC wiped out all but one tribe, that of cat-shifters.

Since the liberation of Godsfall, they have slowly adapted to the changed environment. Still xenophobic and untrusting, they watch over the remains of Shelob's brood in Acheron, serving as overseers and prison wardens for the arachnids.
