Common

The primary language of Western Noefra, Common took shape after the War of Souls about a thousand years ago as a trade tongue/creole of Old Imperial, Yonwach (high elven), and Tumni (dwarven), with influences from many other languages. It was the primary spoken and written language across all of the post-war states except the Fanged Kingdom, who retained their own dialect. To this day, it is the dominant spoken and written language of Federated Nations and is understood at least as a second language by virtually all the civilized peoples. It is written in the Imperial script.

Real Life "relative"

Common is represented by English, especially for naming conventions.

Related Languages

The language spoken in Jinse Empire and throughout much of the Eastern side of the continent is of the same language family, about as related as English and German are in the real world (although the sounds are very different).
