Titziba
An angel of the Second Host, Third Legion, planetar rank. She was delegated to the Pactum Battlefield containment project and assigned to guard the phylactery holding Atijok's soul. Assigned the code name "Titziba", meaning "Faithful"--she was noted for her absolute dedication to the cause of the Host and the extirpation of evil. Over the two centuries of isolation in the constructed demiplane, this dedication turned to obsession and madness and she began to blame Atijok for everything.
Her isolation was broken by the Heroes of Pactum, who entered the demiplane and managed to trick her into letting them grab the phylactery. They escaped with her hot on their heels; her attempted revenge was brought to an abrupt stop by the intervention of Melara and Ytra, who claimed domain rights. When Titziba's madness was revealed, she was cast out of the Host. She then vanished into the mortal world.
The next year, she was encountered by the Wild Cards at the Dead Halls, an ancient mausoleum high in the Giant Spine Mountains housing the cursed-into-stone bodies of Perkunos and Tatsuryuu, where she was employing a form of necromancy to raise an undead army to destroy all life, because out of life comes evil, and evil must be stopped. The heroes put an end to that. In extremis, she called out to Oro-laen, claiming to have been doing "his work." He briefly appeared, only to decry her as having abandoned her duty. This confluence of events was the trigger to awaken the cursed ancients. She died, and her sword (now known as Duty Denied) became the property of the Wild Cards.
