From Dreams of Hope
A village of Awakener-corrupted, but free-willed peoples living in the Vale of Corruption under the aegis of an entity from the Dark Beyond known as The Other, who protects them from the worst of the corrupting effects of Charn and its occupant.
Founded about 300 years ago around the crystals that make up the body of the Other. Originally a sacred space tended by monks, it became a haven for those who fled the corruption of the Adversary after the Reweaving. The Other both shields the village from the corrupted and prevents further degeneration by the afflicted while inside its radius of influence.
Recently, it was re-vitalized by Tempus Machina, who recovered the Other's heart, which had been stolen a decade ago by a neighboring tribe.
Notable Individuals
- Alois, Fai's uncle.
- Chatty, one of the former priests of the Other. Spent a decade feeding his life-force into the Other to preserve it after its heart was stolen, now recovering. Not very vocal.
- Quarters, the village quartermaster.
- Elphas, leader of the "young bucks" who serve as the guards and hunters.
