Apprentice's Friend

Potion, uncommon, consumable.

This greasy-looking black liquid comes in pint-sized jars and has a bitter, almost burnt taste and smell. Drinking this potion requires spending 10 consecutive actions over the course of a minute. This potion cannot be administered to someone else. At the end of that time the drinker gains the benefit of a Short Rest. An individual character can only benefit from this effect once between any two consecutive long rests.

Access: This potion can generally be purchased in small quantities in cities that host schools of the Arcane, as it is the traditional aid of struggling junior apprentices (hence the name).

Formula: One pound of blackjuice pods, 0.5 oz of wake-me-up powder (uncommon), and water. Alchemy or Culinary proficiency.
