Broken Range

A long low mountain range that stretches from most of the way down the western coast of the Great Rift of Soefra to the western edge of Ikela, nearly cutting off the Soefran continent from the Primal Sea.

The highest peak in this range, whose name is not known outside that region, stands about 4,000 ft above sea level, but most of the range is under 1000 ft. It is covered by jungle, and inhabited by a variety of tribes, most frequently zandolit.

Cave systems permeate the mountains, and several major rivers seem to entirely disappear on the southern, higher side, only to reappear from caves on the shores of the sea.

Only the Hardshell and Ship Folk have significant large-scale permanent settlement on the north side of the range.
