Moonthistle

Also called "moon-thistle silk" or "fey silk", this fabric is notably only created with the involvement of the fey. Woven from the fibers of a rare plant and infused with fey-aspected aether, it is only ever seen on mortals as a gift. A given garment is created for an individual--to that person, it is smooth and strong, nearly steel-strength. To anyone else, it would be like wearing thistles (hence the "thistle" part of the name). The "moon" part comes because it shimmers like moonlight on water, It cannot be dyed, but its construction forms patterns based on the recipient's soul as well as the creator's nature. Each garment is completely individual.
