Brightsong Dovara
From Dreams of Hope
The Brightsong is the ranking bard of the Bard’s College at the Granite-Flame Academy. Dovara took on that role in 201 AC, and held it until her death during the Guildmasters Rebellion of 227. Although some claimed that she rose to fame because her father is the Immortal Bard himself, but she showed herself to be a competent and effective leader. Politically she took few sides, preferring to sit back and lob bombs to keep people arguing. If pressed, she’d say that gridlock is better than letting them make stupid decisions. Really, she just liked getting people to react. She loved drama. Personally, she was known as a world-class flirt (just like her father) who loved to tavern-crawl, especially in the rougher areas.
- Demographic Information
- In 211 AC, Dovara was an attractive middle-aged half elf in her mid 50s, but looks much younger. Her height (5’9”) and her bright copper-colored hair and green eyes set her apart from the common folk. She wore clothes cut in the common mode (rather than the fancy styles of the rich) but made from fine fabrics and secretly full of hidden pockets. Her preferred instrument was a finely-made lute. Mechanically she was a Bard (VGtM) except with the spell casting of a 7th level caster (4th level spells).
- Personality
- Nobody stays angry at me or around me for long, since I can defuse any amount of tension. Unless I want them to be. I’m good at pressing buttons.
- Ideal
- Independence. I am a free spirit--no one tells me what to do.
- Bond
- My instrument is my most treasured possession, and it reminds me of someone I love.
- Flaw
- I once satirized a powerful man who still wants my head. It was a mistake that I will likely repeat.
