Against Awakening (Campaign)

The adventures of the Dimwit Syndicate in the Stone Throne's Southern Dominion, ca 212 AC.

Events

• Delivering the Goods/Politics -- The party is hired to deliver a care package to a noble's mentor in a small village to the south. They discover that there are strange things going on here.
• Dipping the Toe -- From that village, they head east in search of adventure. They discover an aelvar mansion, just returning after being thrust out of time at Moon's Fall. There they assist the future queen of the Crisial Kingdom, Queen Raanee. From there, they discover the Temple of the Green Moon...which has severe creeper issues. The priests there are really really weird. Leaving there, they head north, where they get involved with a clan of gryphon-riding dwarves, preventing the takeover by an advisor.
• Looping back to the capital, they realize that other strange things are going on politically. Heading south again, they discover the Saaka Baa tribe, who are under threat from strange, no-nose, lizard-faced individuals (the first encounter by Noefrans of the Ship Folk) who are invading, assisted by devils sent by a fellow claimant for the throne of the Southern Dominion. This they stop, bringing the invasion to a standstill. They also befriend a fashion/beauty-obsessive green dragon.
• Returning to the capital, they discover that Kel'al'ar is being threatened by an army of tribal ophidians...manipulated by the priests of the Green Moon, who are really Awakener-twisted druids (those who brought down the moon on the aelvar empire and ended the 2nd age). They're working in concert with the syndicate's noble patron, who has herself become possessed by the spirit of Lust. Helped by an angel, they enter Lust's mindscape and defeat her, freeing the patron. They then spearhead a trap to destroy the awakener leadership, allowing the Stone Throne army to stop the invasion (the Battle of Kel'al'ar).
• From there, they press south with aid, destroying the awakener presence at the Temple of the Green Moon.
• Later, they participate in ending the Devil's Rebellion.
