Boot and Bear

From Dreams of Hope

Ownership

The Boot and Bear is owned by a widowed woman (Sarah) and her daughter (Melanie), both of whom are wall-builder humans. Melanie has no hidden secrets or unusual quirks, but Sarah suffers from an old injury. Before owning the tavern, Sarah worked there under the previous owner, while Melanie served as a soldier in service to the nation. The inspiration for the tavern's name was an inside joke. It is a tavern of squalid quality, and its main draw is the fact that it's one of the only safe bars in town.

The Bartender

Melanie tends the bar because she enjoys doing the job herself. Her disposition is generally described as positively quiet. She is attractive with light skin and light brown hair in a long, straight style. Physically, she is truly svelte.

The Clientele

On a typical night, the clientele at The Boot and Bear can be described as absolutely rude. On this occasion, there are a few other people currently in the tavern. A couple of them are discussing religious or political matters. Leaning against the far wall, there is a depressed looking figure. They are actually a powerful fey creature, who will just have fun messing with the party and telling them all sorts of crazy things.

The Accommodations

The rooms for rent at The Boot and Bear are terribly tiny and astonishingly dingy. There are currently three rooms available for rent. The cost for a night's stay is 6 cp. If the party spends the night in the tavern, the owner who suffers from an old injury has an accident in the kitchen when it flairs up again.
