Dawnspire Assassination Plot

An attempt to assassinate Queen-Mother Beatris ka Shakti in 250 AC and pin the blame on the Breath of the Sun and the People's Faction. Orchestrated by cultists of the Jester, but egged on and abetted by Gozh, this plot involved dominating members of the Breath of the Sun and planting assassins in the People's Faction ranks during a speech by the Queen-Mother at the Little Dawnspire in Lyodnoir. Interestingly, the Queen-Mother knew (or strongly suspected) that there would be an attempt and set things up so that the People's Faction would be blamed when it succeeded, tying them to Byssia and trying to sacrifice herself to keep the War Party on top. This plot was foiled when Enigma caught on to parts of it during their time in the city. Their presence at the speech stopped the assassination and revealed the Queen-Mother's role in abetting it, leading to her relegation to a purely ceremonial role.
