Golden Aspects

One-in-four and four-in-one, the Aspects were among the Old Gods. Worshiped as the "only true gods" by Quan Pei and its god-emperors, they represented creation, Fate, Preservation, and Destruction as aspects of one being while simultaneously having multiple forms. Unlike the other Old Gods, they were not completely absorbed by the Great Mechanism at the Cataclysm. Instead, they merged with that mechanism, becoming the Voice of the Great Mechanism, the one responsible for choosing the Congregation and assigning them their tasks as well as promulgating the new rules of existence.
