Ignis, Fire-bearer

Unlike the other of Lon-Ka's demigod associates, Ignis represents destruction--specifically acting as the patron of the flame that burns away the dark of ignorance. Usually depicted as a female figure with dark skin and burning eyes, her hair often either red (in simple depictions) or actually made into a torch. She carries a torch. In some areas, the Midwinter festival involves burning a wooden effigy of her to symbolically bring back the light. Said to originally have been an efreet or even a fire elemental.
