Into the Twisted Goblin Mine
From Dreams of Hope
The second adventure of the Catalysts, following a request from the town of Yuuras Zaali to investigate pre-Cataclysm evidence of an old iron mine south of town in the Sundown Hills, plus rumors of goblin infestation.
Events
- Travel. Encountered goblins fleeing north. After parlay, they were informed that a Twisted cultist had taken control of the mine.
- Scouting the mine. Discovered twisted flesh-sculptures of goblins, still alive.
- Assault on the twisted shaman. Goblin baby bombs. Bor, one of the founding members, was tragically killed in this combat. The shaman, on his defeat, called out to his demon patron and was reborn as an abomination of flesh.
- With the mine cleansed, the party discovered records of dwarven manufacturing, including re-discovering the secrets to making metal-armed crossbows, necessary for hand crossbows.
Aftermath
The mine eventually was re-opened and the town of Bor's Sacrifice founded nearby to provide housing. It is now part of the Crisial Kingdom.
