Terrain
Everything interesting in the plane is underground. At the borders with the neighboring planes (the Plane of Clay on one side and the Plane of Coal on the other), the endless mountains turn into hills and plains. But the plane itself is bare rock on the surface. Underground is hived with tunnels, caverns, rivers, etc.
Capital City
Asil Tash [Ah-sil TAHSH]. Located in a huge cavern (~3-4 miles across, a mile high) buried in the central area of the plane, this city is half city, half tent city (the All-Things Bazaar). It also contains the blocky Silent House, combined residence of and temple to Korokonolkom, as well as the administrative facilities for the Silent Guard and the Enduring Discipleship (the "military/police" and "religious/civil bureaucracy", respectively).

Currency
The plane of Stone mints their own coins after the trade-coin pattern of the other elemental planes, and their coins, like those of Coal, are accepted most places. Officially called the "mountain", They come in two denominations--greater and lesser. But most people call them "tokens". Thin, roughly dollar-coin-sized slices of magically-toughened slate, they are etched with Koro's symbol on one side and a crown (for the greater) and nothing (for the lesser) on the reverse. One greater is 10 lesser, and 1 lesser is exchangeable for 2 Council gold marks (aka 2 gp).
Culture
Bland and expensive food. Non-imported food is heavy on mushrooms and mystery crustacean/worm meat. Everything is for sale; nothing is free. In fact, it's insulting to give or expect free advice unless that's paid for by your job. Bribery is everywhere--everything is transactional.
Debt slavery is common and highly regulated. Even reasonably fair and not considered chattel at all--slaves have strong legal protection. All slave labor goes through large "labor relations" firms.
