Concept bombs

When a Broken Concept is forcibly summoned into the Mortal plane in its true power, the plane itself rebels. The conflict between these two forces encysts a region of the Mortal plane in a time-warped bubble, cutting it free of the rest of the flow of time and space. To those outside this region, it is as if the affected are just vanishes as if it never existed. This is a "concept bomb". The effects inside the affected region vary depending on exactly which Concept was summoned but range from total destruction to relative normalcy. Last used heavily during the fall of the Western Empire in approximately 700 BC, it had seen significant use in major conflicts before that.

A defensive version was used by the Goroesi to escape Moon's Fall, as well as by the Towers of Sun, Earth, Moon, and Stars to evade the Cataclysm. A much smaller version was used by Queen Raanee sus'Crisial's parents, sacrificing themselves to Broken Order to preserve their daughter against Moon's Fall.

Post-Cataclysm

As of the changes attendant to the Cataclysm and the Battle of Acceptance, concept bombs are no longer possible--the broken concepts still carry power, but their interaction with the Mortal Plane is much less destructive.
