On 4 Winter Dying 260 AC, the [[Argentones]] allied with an organization of like-minded individuals known as the Opal Scale (aided by the Rainbow Serpent) to trap and destroy the Coiled Ones. In that battle, the Night Hunter and the Faceless were trapped inside orbs of magicite after being defeated, and the Cold Mother appealed to an unknown greater demon (vaguely spider-form in appearance) and transformed. She was destroyed and confirmed dead, her Name being eaten by jotnar in the [[Abyss]]. The current whereabouts of the orbs containing the essence of the other two are unknown at this point. | |||

Discoveries (250 AC by Enigma)
The Coiled Ones (and the Rainbow Serpent) are all that remains of the nobles of the Fanged Kingdom, who cut a deal with the White Skull for the secret to apotheosis, to ascension to godhood. But the ritual failed (in part because they didn't read the deal closely and didn't realize something was missing). Instead, all the gwerin ended up in a lightless oubliette of a demi-plane, a prison in the Astral. There they subsisted on each other's Names (which had replaced their souls), merging until only four remained. Three desired power and dominance, the last wanted freedom and independence.
