Mahlon of Orsa

The newest Septarch, Mahlon of the Orsa (Bear) Sept is a man of hidden depth. He attained his position with the open backing of Jael of Myji and is deeply in debt to him.

Politics

Mahlon, to all appearances, is a staunch Expansionist like his patron, Jael. However, his actual beliefs are otherwise. He strongly opposes (in private and as much as possible in public) the Realignment, knowing it would cost him his best agents (and likely his wife's love). His is a voice of caution in council, supporting the Expansionist cause but urging double and triple checks before acting.

Family

From a low-ranking family, he climbed by hitching his star to Jael's. He married one of Jael's daughters (Sarai), although for love rather than politics. Sarai and her father...do not get along (to put it lightly). They have three children (an oddity among the Cysgor).

Capabilities

Mahlon is a very capable melee combatant and general. In combat he prefers to wield a glaive reputed to be able to cut through anything.
