Moon's Fall
The cataclysmic event that ended the aelvar empire following the Second Wish. Angered by the mistreatment of the budding puun ihmisia by their arcane-wielding aelvar overlords, the first Circle of druids gathered together and hatched a monstrous plan (under Awakener influence). Through rituals of voluntary sacrifice, they made a bond with the kami of the third moon, Tatzii. Over months, they drew this rock (approximately 5 miles in diameter, made of green crystal) closer to the planet's surface and then dropped it onto the aelvar capital. The mage-emperors reacted and shattered the moon as it fell, partially shielding the direct impact site, but too late. The falling rocks turned the ground to shattered glass (on the peninsula known as Moon's Fall Vengeance) and carved out ring-shaped craters. The walls now are mountains, and part of them has filled with water due to the formation of the Primal Sea.
Shards of the moon remained. One particular shard, falling into what is now the Jungle of Fangs, was entrapped by Awakener-possessed druids and used as a power source until the Awakener was defeated by the Dimwit Syndicate and their allied forces in 211 AC. The much-diminished kami now provides blessings from that temple.
