Lloitira

From Dreams of Hope

Now known as the Lady of Pain, the focus of the Barbed Circle cult, one of the five demon Princes that rule the nightmarish realm of the Abyss, Lloitira was born an aelvar noble sometime during the middle of the Second Age. Along with the rest of her family, their names now lost to time, she partook in the Blood Rite and became one of the vampiric Nightlords. For the next few centuries, she and her fellows ruled a portion of the aelvar empire through terrible pleasure and pain, feeding on the souls and emotions of their sapient cattle.

Unlike the rest of her kin, she survived the War of Blood that brought the reign of the Nightlords to an end in fire and sword. She retreated into stasis for nearly a thousand years. Awoken by Oro-laen in the chaos surrounding Moon's Fall, the two of them forged a pact against the world. They underwent the ritual of demonization, becoming the first of the demon princes and took up residence in the Abyss, there to build demenses and cults that would torment and bedevil mortals for the rest of time.

It is whispered in the highest reaches of her cult, however, that this pact was not entirely self-centered. It is said that most of the power generated by her worship goes to building seals, patches against the Oblivion Gate and its influence. Such rumors are obviously false...

Physical Appearance

When she appears to others, Lloitira takes on whatever form she desires. Generally, this is of a humanoid female, beautiful beyond description. Viewers do not agree on much of her appearance, other than it causes pain due to the sheer beauty. One constant is that she is only clothed in fresh, glistening blood.

Personality

Lloitira is vain and cruel, but she is not stupid or brutal. Subtlety is one of her strengths, as is forward thought. Unlike the Red Fang, she is not governed by her appetites (although they are not insignificant). She will generally keep her bargains, but all her bargains have poison thorns hidden in them.

She hates the Red Fang, considering him brutal and vulgar. She has nothing but contempt for him and his cultists; this does not mean that they will not cooperate when it is useful to her plans.
