Scale-balancer

The Scale Balancers are the paladins, fighters, and clerics who follow Ytra, goddess of Justice. They work in close coordination to form a patrolling judiciary force. They are most common in the Successor States, but they have started to spread to Wyrmhold and the Jungle of Fangs. Their motto is "Let justice be done, though the heavens fall." Their symbol is a stylized pan scale, in balance. Members often have this symbol branded into them--a common location is the palm of their non-dominant hand.

The head of the Scale Balancers in 211 was the Fulcrum Anna--an older human woman who (unlike many of her compatriots) has a dry sense of humor. She resides in Kaelthia in the Grand Temple. Her lieutenants are the Twin Pillars. Alaina is the Right Pillar, a young, serious celestial plane-touched whose notable feature is her glowing hair. Calling her "Sparkles" is legally recognized as a form of suicide (unless you're one of the Catalysts or her superior in the Order). She heads up the enforcement arm and takes great pleasure in smiting the wicked. On the Left, heading up the investigatory branch, is Tolam. A tiefling, Tolam is known for his absolute dedication to the pursuit of truth. It is rumored that his agents employ stringent means to uncover truth, no matter the station of the person under the Question.

Scale Balancer paladins most frequently take the Oath of Devotion, although other Oaths are common.
