Serpent Sea
The region of the Primal Sea bounded to the west by the Blood-thirst Wildlands, to the north by the Jungle of Fangs, to the south by Sentinel Island and to the east by Moon's Fall Vengeance.
Geography

The Serpent Sea is much shallower than the main Primal Sea, averaging only 250 - 500 ft deep. East of Sentinel Island it drops off rapidly.
The prevailing current flows north past the Ortor Waste, around Sentinel Island, and rejoining a deep cold current heading SE in the adjoining primal sea. A small curl breaks off and heads up the West Moon Sea. The bore current formed east of Sentinel Island is extremely dangerous for ships, and only the great city-ships of the Ship Folk are comfortable in those waters.
Bordering Nations
To the north of the Serpent Sea is the Serpent Dominion, although the pirate state of Tarad'am occupies the prime port position on the sea. To the south lies the dissident fleet of the Ship Folk, occupying Sentinel Island. To the west lies the unclaimed (by any nation, anyway) Blood-thirst Wildlands; to the east the foreboding and broken peninsula of Moon's Vengeance, occupied by the mysterious goroesi and the freed slaves at Gor'ka.
Various groups of folk inhabit the islands of the serpent sea, mostly ophidian and human, although the sena'ka have substantial influence and there are several goblintribes (especially on Sentinel Island).
Climate
Located in the sub-tropics, the shallow Serpent Sea produces a very wet, humid, warm climate year round. Heavy, regular rainfall during the summer leads to severe storms in the late summer/early fall, including hurricanes. The spring and winter are cooler and drier, but still quite humid. For reference, think the area surrounding the Gulf of Mexico.
